Like I said, this one was NOT the IBG model. If I were looking for something at this very modest price-point, there are Yamahas, used Seagulls, Ibanii (plural for Ibanez, yes?) that I'd jump on first.
Not disparaging the IBG line by any means. Turns out I haven't played one yet,

I have one of those. That was my take too. Nothing wrong with the guitar and it doesn't sound bad. But it sounds dull and uninspiring to me. If I was looking at $500 acoustics, Epiphone would likely not be where my money ended up.
