Default New Claxton Week

I haven't posted many pics of this guitar being built, but here are a couple of shots that have made the wait worthwhile. Ed just sent these over this morning, and I'm ready to hit the road. It's about 9 hours to Ed's from our home, and I'll be at his shop Saturday morning. FWIW, it's a 12-fret / fan-fret Malabar, which Ed has described as a Double 0 and a half. The back and sides are old European Maple, and the top is Italian Spruce. The scales are 24.75-25.5.

I set a limit of 6 guitars a few years ago. One in, one out. I sold a Claxton to help fund this guitar, so who knows..........this might be the last one.

You'll like that one.
Ed's Maple guitars are unreal.

what a beauty... I'm very curious about some sound-impressions.. but I feel very confident, that she will sound even better and more impressive as she looks... it would be very interesting for me to compare your guitar my "Miss Maple" because of some commonalities, but this won't be "very easy"....
congrats to this impressive instrument...

Ah, not a Claxton Fruitcake. Good. I feel better about you already.

Smile That is one sweet Claxton

From one desert dweller named John to another, that is one amazing looking guitar. I love Ed's simple but classy aesthetics and his rosette is one of the best in the business.

That guitar also looks so comfortable to play and I really like the multiscale you chose.

Congratulations!

Congratulations John, I'd happily drive nine hours if that was waiting for me!
