G7th Nashville Capo
Does anybody else have trouble with the spring staying in place? I wonder if I got a dud.

It definitely works better for some neck profiles than for others. The clamping pressure isn't that great, so on a very thin neck it can be knocked out of place pretty easily. Where the G7 doesn't work, I use adjustable Shubb capos.

I have two of them and I've never had any problems at all. I don't know if you got a dud, but I'm pretty sure they have a lifetime warranty.

It works well when in use. The spring doesn't want to stay in the pocket that retains it.

That sounds broken.

I'm not being clear, no coffee yet.
When not in use, the spring comes out. (double post, sorry) |

I concur, I've had no such problems with mine.

Never had this happen with mine, so I go with "broken."
You could try contacting G7.

Yes, broken…I ordered a G7 Newport and it arrived in an unopened package … on opening the package it literally fell into 4 pieces! It’s probably a Covid issue!

Used Kyser on stage for years. Because it was easy to clamp to headstock, or nut, and move on the fly.
Bought the original G7th capo for the studio, then the Nashville. Can't say I like em as well as a Shubb |
