Santa Cruz Parabolic lights on an Avalon Jumbo?
Anyone try these on a larger body? Are the SC lights really extra lights in the real world of other strings?

Did you mean 'low tension'?
I had them on a loud, responsive rosewood jumbo and they were very good. This is a guitar that also loved Martin Titanium strings but I now use D'Addario Nickel Bronze 11-52's for best balance.

No. I found the SC lights (low T) almost the same feel as the SC mediums (mid T) and no different than other brands standard 12 gauge strings. You should know that the the SC lows and mids share the same low E string in both sets. You might find the sound a bit brighter with the low tension set, but again, minimal difference in feel. FWIW, I've tested the SC's extensively and found (for me) no advantage sonically or in terms of longevity of the SC's vs Straight Up Strings. I've moved back to the SUS strings to fill that niche as I feel there isn't enough difference to warrant double the price for the SC's. The only thing is that the SUS mediums do feel heavier than their light set.

I have found that the lights are in between most lights and extra lites and the mediums between mediums and lights.
