Takamine TF87PT - all solid cedar and koa. This guitar has a really sweet acoustic sound.

Bri, I'm the original owner of a Tak F-360S, I would say around 1976. Sounds terrific with a top aged forty years. I hear the Tammie black and red labels are terrific.

I have a 92 Takamine EF341C that I got in 93. Fast forward to 2012, bought a Martin and started hanging out here and got serious about going acoustic with the band. The takamine is a workhorse. Stays in tune, and the preamp is great. I'd love to have one of their rosewood 12 strings. Mine is now my campfire guitar. My Martins are now the gig guitars, but before that the Takamine did the job.

A local shop has a Cortez J200 copy that has a ton of sustain...very well constructed...I keep waffling on it...

I have to second the FG-110. I have (3) of them and (2) FG-110E's. My favorite is my 1970 Nippon Gakki FG-110 that I paid $40 for earlier this year. They are all very loud and resonant, but this one might be a little more than the others. I've listen to many guitars and it took a $4850 custom Keystone MCC to beat it. It has the same clear resonant sound but the bass is cleaner. Well, of course!!! It only costs 120X more than my FG-110!

I must have nearly 20 vintage FG's, this is the best sounding model I've found so far. The FG-300 & FG-350W are good too, but I got tired of the booming bass. I wanted a more balanced sound that the 000 size gives.

I've tried (2) FG-110-1's and they aren't anywhere as good as the original.

Just put my D-35 up for sale because it doesn't match up
with my Yamakis. Does that make me a Japanese guitar
junkie?

Wow, you really love F series. I have a retired F-35 given to me 20 something years ago. Not the best sounding guitar but the action is like an electric and no fret buzz. I've never touched the truss rod, it just stayed straight as an arrow.
