Default Static Noise From Taylor 214ce

The other day I was practicing with a group of my friends, and had my guitar plugged into an amplifier. All the sudden, in the middle of practice, my guitar started making fuzzy, static noises like it would when the battery is dead... Problem is, the battery was not dead and the cord checked out just fine... Any thoughts?

You sure the battery isn’t low? Could be a dud, would try replacing first

I tried the guitar with the new battery, and seemed to work fine. So I put the old battery back in and it worked good still... Tested the old battery and still had pretty good amount of charge
(8 ish volts)
