What size bridge pins are in the Avalons?
My stock wooden pins are starting to split. I guess I'll move on to bone with abalone inserts. A little help with the size to order is needed. Anyone have the info? If not I'll compare them to the ones I have in my Gibson, but I'm too lazy to unwind a couple of strings right now

Why not just phone the guys and order a replacement set - guaranteed to fit. That's what I did: they were very reasonable too.

Avalon Bridge Pins
Measuring is a bit harder than you think. Unless you have calipers and know how to use them it's easy to do it wrong.
According to Bob Colosi's web site, they are 1T's. Here's Bob's page on pins; www.guitarsaddles.com/products.asp Bob is a great guy and his work is top shelf!

Other than Martin, almost all major (modern) manufacturers use industry standard 3-degree pins. Vintage guitars could of course be just about anything.
https://www.lmii.com/143-bridge-pins...degree_slotted What Bob calls a Size 1 or 1T
