Default Similarities between Taylor 812c and Martin 000-28?

Hey guys, haven't been here in a while. Just put a Martin 000-28 on layaway the other day. Found a used one that just "spoke" to me. I've always wanted one, and sure enough, a great used one just popped up. I'll have it in a couple of weeks. My question is that I already have a wonderful '95 Taylor 812c, and I'm wondering if the Martin will sound similar to this guitar. They are similar shapes and wood types. I don't want any redundancy in my collection, so I'm hoping that the Martin will sound different enough. My Taylor has a great scooped sound with tons of highs and lows. I'm looking for a warmer, woodier sound that will complement it. Will the Martin give me what I'm looking for? Thanks for all help.

I predict they'll sound different enough...

Its Martin Vs Taylor ...... They are designed to specifically sound different from each other.

If the guitar has spoken to you, then yes, I think that it will complement the Taylor nicely.

Of all the brands I know the furthest apart are Martin and Taylor, you don't have to worry about them sounding anything alike.................

Guaranteed!!
