cheap and good slide
http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/stor...p-link-bushing
This is a close picture of what I got at our local Agri Supply for 69 cents, in fact I got two! It appears to be brass, nice thickness/weight. It does not cover my entire pinky as my 'real' steel slide does, but is much thicker....nice tone: one and seven eights long, 15/16's outside to outside diameter and between a 16th and an 8th thick. As a bonus the ends have a slight bevel. |

Before I clicked on the link, I saw it was TSC and thought, "Heck, you could just pick up a bushing!"
Great minds think alike but it's weird that ours do too.

Stuff like this and old broken bottlenecks were what the old guys used.
It'll work. |

I've been using an 11/16 Craftsman socket lately.

I have been trying to find a good brass slide for acoustic work. I have bought three of them and didn't like them for one reason or another.
It's getting expensive. Still searching for something to fit a ring size 10 on the ring finger. Would Lowes or HD have something like this? Thx.

Hey whatever works. Haha.
I used a beer bottle for a while just messing around attempting to play Free Bird until last month I finally got a “real" glass slide. I wish I would have known about that though. I could have saved like $10 haha |

My son turned down and polished up a length of brass pipe stock and it has turned into my go-to reso slide.
