Default anyone set Taylor action high?

In trying to eliminate a slight fret buzz with a truss rod adjustment, i decided to go a bit higher as an experiment. I'm enjoying the guitar this way and wondered if others like a higher action on their Taylors (or other brands too) and for what reasons. It may be interesting to also share details about how high your action really is. Thanks!

No Taylors in the house but all of my guitars are set up with a higher action. I ain't got what you would call a light touch to begin with and just think they give me all they got to give when the top is driven.
