Default Armrest (or other solutions) for archtop with sharp edge

I have an Eastman 910CE - it's super cool, but the binding has a quite sharp edge that dig into my picking arm when I play. I encountered that already with flattops, and the way I'd solve this would be to put a John Pearse arm rest which has been working great so far.

BUT: I cannot do that with the archtop, as none of their armrests really fits the shape. So I started googling for archtop armrest, but really didn't not find much. The only seems to be this one here which I am going to try.

Any recommendation for armrest on archtop?

Also, perhaps a crazy question, could a tech/luthier smooth out the binding and add a bevel?

Ciao,

Ll.

My two solutions aren't likely to resonate with you but I would, stop resting my arm on the side of the guitar. Or, get a piece of sandpaper and smooth the sharp edge of the guitar until it is more comfortable. After 20 years of play the edge will get worn down anyway.

Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!

....jk

Instead of smoothing it myself I'd bring it to a tech (actually I'll ask them next Friday). As per changing posture: I don't rest my arm on the top, but keep the archtop guitar angled towards me because that gives me the angle I need to get then tone I want when I pluck strings with my fingers. Because of the angled position, the binding edge of the body presses towards my chest and the front towards my arm.

I use a padded protective sleeve that you put on your arm, so the edge of the guitar doesn't bother you.
