Eastman E6D
Hey guys, I bought a used Eastman E6D yesterday. Made January 2022. Its hardly been played. My question for those that would know, this one is just marked E6D not a TC. I thought maybe all of those made at that time were thermocured. It has a light colored top with pretty wide grain. Any info would be appreciated. Also what do you think it sold for new. The owner didn't say what he paid for it. EE

A picture of the top would be nice. I believe during this time Eastman used both regular Sitka and torrefied Sitka before going to all torrefied tops - both Sitka and Adirondack - for the newest builds. Not all of the guitars build with torrefied tops contained a -TC in the model number. There is no telling what the original owner paid. It was probably no more than 20% off of MAP.

the torrifed tops look dramatically different than the non-TC. Eastman also torrifies tops all the time, but doesn't indicate it in the build sheet. They also change woods, and won't indicate that on the build sheet, like with tops, they'll do a limited run of say, a different type of spruce, but won't put that on the build sheet.
