I think that this poll is skewed to the bottom end. Think of what a single Olson costs. A Symogyi. Even a higher end Collings or Martin.
Having ten guitars is not really an unusual sized collection. With an average price of maybe $15,000 each, that puts a modest collection at $150,000. This is a modest collection of only 10 guitars. You can bet that many on here will dwarf that. My guess would put the total for all instruments of regular posters on the forum combined to be over 10 million dollars and even that is probably light. $1315 for everything below.
I'm a bit frugal and hunt for scores.

You guys are using replacement cost, right (market value of a new model) when possible? Replacement cost adjusts your investments for inflation, lol. But seriously, a guitar bought 15 years ago at $750 would probably cost twice that (or more) to replace it. Something to think about. Custom builds..... I don't know, I guess you estimate how much your builder would charge now for the same build.

Now if you all could post your addresses and when you're going on vacation, preferably in red, I could also do a running tab....aww, never mind.

I'm counting the money I have sunk into them.
And I NEVER go on vacation. I can't afford it.
