I sold an instrument on Reverb early December. It was my tenth sale (over the course of several years). I sent Reverb the tracking number as soon as I had it, and they began processing my payment that same day. Money was in my account within a couple business days of shipping.

You "called" Reverb?
I don't think they take phone calls!

Reverb keeps a record of your purchases under your account. If you look there, you can click on the link to the item. What does it say?

I mean...this was simply never a potential scam.

Default Hmm...paid via Reverb?

I contacted the seller to mention that the item is still listed as being active and not sold and his reply was "it was a new listing". That didn't make sense but I didn't want to get into an argument with him to tell him that after a guitar is purchased the listing will indicate it has been sold.

Two days ago the seller sent me a tracking number, the listing is still up, and when I go to track the guitar via FedEx this is what it says "No record of this tracking number can be found at this time."

I am a bit suspicious and not sure what to do at this point.
Please tell us you paid via the Reverb system and were not scammed into paying via Paypal "friends & family", in which case your $ is gone.

BUT Fedex is one crazy slack company compared to UPS & USPS, they mis-deliver to us often. Sweetwater uses them exclusively, I once had a $230 pedal thrown into the tall grass near our mailbox out by a busy road instead of being delivered to our address, and this was many hours after tracking marked it as Delivered.

Perhaps you should have read the complete thread. He got his guitar and is very happy with it....

This was the first thing I noticed when I clicked on the link. Feedback is an important thing for me when purchasing online.

And almost all of their transactions were sales.

Sounds like you’re going through the proper actions. Hope everything turns out okay.
Agree with this. Sometimes there is a delay between notification and ability to track. I get nervous when I buy (expensive) stuff online on websites I have never purchased through. But I have learned to trust the system. Good idea to contact both Reverb and Fedex. Hope it all works out for you!

Mercy.

This issue is long since resolved, and likely should have never been an issue as the seller has over 5,000 positive reviews online.

The guitar was received and the buyer is happy.

Can this thread end now?

Please?
