Default Glitch, new instrumental

'Glitch' originally meant 'slide' or a slippery spot. There's a fair amount of sliding on this tune, especially the little 'raga' bit that comes in just after the 4 minute mark, inspired by something similar I saw Blake Mills do on guitar, using what looked like a sustainer in one hand and a slide in the other. Anyways this is a fairly long piece, thanks for listening, and commenting.

What a cool piece, Mortimer! And not an easy piece to play, either! Great job on this! Well done!

I feel like I should be sitting in a downstairs cigar and jazz bar in of those hidden gem type places where the in crowd gathers on Wednesday nights... to listen to various jazz stylings of the local musical artisans. Wine glasses clinking. Cigar smoke rising to the ceiling, circling in upon itself, then dissipating as if in synchronized harmony with the changing melodic chordal modes...

This is a thing. This is a very good thing. This is a lovely piece played exceptionally well!

Where is this jazz haven I am envisioning, and how do I get there?

What a great comment, and you set the scene so poetically. It's a shame that places like that seem hard to find these days. Thanks!
