Default Gibson Guitar indentification

Sorry for the small picture but I can see greater detail described below. Will be looking at this guitar, looks to me to be a Gibson LG-3, probably very late forties or early 1950's. I believe they started the larger pickguard in 1955 and the square bridge seems right for that period. Can barely see that the Gibson script has the tails so not the earlier script. Natural top makes it a "3". This would be my ideal guitar if it was a J-45. Are these LG's good guitars? It should be X bracing? If it were a J-45 I couldn't afford it. The LG seems to be much more reasonable. Any idea what price range it would be in?
