Searched as I saw this thread.
I have never played one, but I do own an FS5, and it is fun. The A.R.E. top and scalloped bracing make for a lively, vibrant guitar.

"The FG" was MIJ too. I own an LLX26. It's an incredible instrument.

My understanding is that "The FG" from 1992 is similar to the anniversary FG-180 that came out a couple years ago. MIJ. Solid mahogany b/s. No electronics.

I owned an FGX5. It went to a Martin guy. I just wasn't blown away by Atmosfeel, and I had a little trouble with my input jack and intonation issues. The FGX5 was otherwise a great guitar.
