"Uneven" pickup sound in my 114ce ???

G'day all.

I've had my 114ce for a few months now, but only recently "plugged her in" for the first time.
The high e and b strings don't seem to have much output at all, while the other strings are loud and clear.
I took the strings off and lifted the saddle and checked the piezo element for proper seating/level etc - all seemed well.
Is this a common problem with a simple solution, or do I need to get it checked out?
Any advice appreciated.
