American Buying from Germany Experiences?
I am wondering what it's like to purchase a guitar from a German music store as an American here in the states. What if any has your experience been? Thanks

I have not bought a guitar from Germany, but I did live there for 3 years. Its a much cooler and damper climate than most of the U.S., so keep that in mind if you ship a guitar into a warm/dry climate.

I didn't purchase from a music store, but I recently received a custom guitar that a luthier in Germany built for me. The import duties amounted to about 6% of the purchase price (that may vary depending on whether or not the guitar in question was US made and being repatriated into the US). Something to keep in mind. And, there may be paperwork to be filled out, unless the store is doing that for you.
