For some time I had been looking for a 00 size guitar. Finally a little over a week ago I pulled the trigger on a Recording King RNJ-25 from GC. After just two days I could tell that it was going back. Too flat, too tinny to my ear. Even the usually complimentary wife asked, "Do you like that?"

I went to another GC nearby that had a Folk size SWS Maritime Seagull. Nope that was not what I wanted either. The Grand Auditorium Ovangkol back and sides Washburn with the abalone trim was nice but didn't quite do it either.

I bought an Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500re that was made in 2010 off of Reverb. It is in all but mint condition and sounds like angels singing! I only thought I wanted a 00! Live and learn. I will try to get on Tapatalk and post pictures.

Beautiful Masterbilt. I would imagine a guitar sounding like angels would make most of us happy. Always nice to see lots of saddle left. Enjoy.

And not a scratch or dent to be seen. I am coming to the conclusion that I prefer rosewood backed guitars. This think has overtones and sustain that are awesome.

It looks great and if it sounds that good, well...even better.
Congrats!

I don't usually go for satin finish guitars. I usually sucker for bling and sunburst finishes. I am so glad I ignored those tendencies.
