Hello
What do you think of the new Yamaha 800 series? I just got a the fs700 and it seems the new one is smaller with scallop bracing.

Thx

Looks promising. I'll try one out during my next trip to a guitar store.

I found the specs for the FS700S and the FS800S series. The body shape seems to be the same, but the body depth has supposedly decreased. The FS700 series says 100-120mm depth (3 15/16"-4 3/4"); the FS800 says 90-110mm (3 9/16”- 4 5/16”).

The bridge string spacing on the FS800 also still seems to be narrow. They say 10mm pin-center-to-pin-center. So that's 50mm for all six bridge pins, which is 1.97" (call it 2"). That's the same as before.
