Default Congratulations

I have followed your build threads and I have drooled over former stable-mates you have parted with over the past couple of years. Congratulations on your decision. I respect you, fitness, and a couple of other forum members for your positivity within your posts, your encouragement and insight you offer to others, and finally your guitars.
This thread got me thinking: Maybe instead of longing for yet another guitar, I should focus on the ones I have and become a better player. Just as I have wanted to add nicer guitars to my humble collection, there are probably people out there wishing they had something like I already have! Thank you for helping keep me grounded. (That is not to say that I will stop wishing to add a Charis down the road)

Hi Jon,

Those are beautiful guitars. I have also heard some of your recordings and am very pleased to say that you do them justice with your playing. So now you have some great guitars, you've got some very good playing skills, and now you are set. That's a great place to be!

Beautiful.

The funny thing about this forum is that the more time I spend on it, the less "settled" I feel with my "stable."

It is certainly a good feeling. You have some very nice instruments with each one adding something to the plate. Play long and in good health!

I have come to similar conclusion and am back to basics after owning fifteen or so in the last three years span. My focus is on making music and learning again, versus buy/sell/trade. Started doing my own set up work as well. Will be attempting to make bone nut and saddle in the near future. Got to get some proper tools first.

I've been settled with my three hand made guitars for four years now, I just don't see or hear anything else that I want.
EXCEPT.
I've recently been Jonesing for a Weissenborn, and have started talking to my local luthier, Tim Wright, about building me one.
