I would get one myself, but the 1 & 11/16 nut width is a deal breaker for me. Thought I would share it - they are a great bargain and pretty nice guitars. Here's a link:

No, I am not affiliated with Zzounds or Bedell.

Happy hunting.

Hi All,

Be aware that while the China made, all wood Bedells are very nice for the blowout money, there is a solid possibility (if you're structurally anal like me) fretwork, bridgework, nut and saddle work may be required on these guitars to get them pro level. However once your luthier has at your Bedell, you will be a very happy person.

See the below links about my experience:

I can't see any inventory. The message I get when I click on OP's link says:

Quote:
We're sorry, your search : bedell yielded no results.

If you need assistance, please call 800-zZounds (800-996-8637).

You can also get your questions answered by email.
It might be because I'm in Canada. When I try to search and shop for other brands on the site, it says they will not ship to Canada.

However, doing a Google search for Bedell TB18G yields the following link as the first search result, also for $329.97:

http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-BED-TB18G-LIST

Is this the same as OP's link's availability?

zzounds and american musical supply and samedaymusic .com are all the same company, and have had similar (but not identical) Bedell inventory.

dgodwin, thanks for that info! I didn't know that before. Interesting how AMS will ship to Canada but ZZsounds will not.

this link has the 2012 Bedell guitar catalog that has most of the guitars that are on blowout, which I found helpful.

I couldn't resist and bought the MB-18-G with the payments, and I don't get charged the first one until (if?) it ships. I spoke to a guy there and he said he believes they'll be shipped.

Is anyone else, besides me, wondering why they're being liquidated at such steeply-discounted prices?

Tempted, but I've never played a Bedell (actually never heard of this company until I clicked on this link) so I have no idea what to expect in terms of tone and playability. Also, being in Canada, I won't get free shipping from any of the sister sites of zZsounds, and will likely be forced to pay duty fees (or was that customs fees?) just to have the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) allow it to pass to the great white north, thus making it less sweet of a deal than you lucky Americans.

Bedell has stopped production in Asia and these are the last ones being liquidated. All 2014 Bedell guitars are being made in Bend, Oregon. Are they better than the new yamahas? Having not played a yamaha or a bedell, I have no idea. The limited user experience that I've researched online seems to indicate most, but not all, have had a good experience with the Bedell guitars made overseas. Looking just at the specifications, the fact that you can get an all solid wood guitar with ebony fretboard and bridge for $300-$500 seems a pretty good deal.
