Beautiful Women and Curvaceous Guitars Part 1
.
I was listening to the "Girl from Ipanema" when the image of the beautiful woman and the guitar caught my eye. The perspective view of graceful, purposeful curves, both human and human made. With each possessing entrancing voices, the woman and the guitar seem perfectly balanced and perfectly matched. So let this be a celebration of women and guitars thread. All in good taste, of course (and with apologies in advance for the inevitable bit of objectification that may occur). The newcomer, Taylor and her Taylor Petra Ester Kahle - busker, and aspiring recording artist, in Prague Saffron Burrows, the stunning, talented star of the new film, "The Guitar" and my favorite, beauty reflecting beauty... .

This is somehow related to my admiration of Taylors...
Their body shapes really seem nicely balanced to me when I look at them. From the cut of their jumboish (GS) to the smaller body (GC).. mmm those curves...

Good curves are important in a (clears throat) guitar .

Cool! I have that Laurindo Almeida album. Charlie Byrd was another early favorite when I was a teenager. Maybe it was just the album covers.
And Chet Atkins had some nice album covers as well. |

Ah yes, my Dad had that first Chet Atkins album back in the 60's when I was just a lad. I spent lots of time 'listening' to that one. Yeah!....that's the ticket....I was listening!

He must be a fan of naked rock, although I think it's usually done on an acoustic.......

Howard,
I've always loved that guitar. Probably have to be careful where you play it, unfortunately. Praise and worship players, play your stock Taylor. |

I don't normally comment on things like this but I feel I have to speak out and say that I find this thread disturbing and inappropriate. Guitars as objects to be ogled - fine. Women as objects to be ogled - no.
Fliss p.s. an additional comment to respond to some of the later posts on this thread - some of the posts and images clearly got edited or removed after I made my comments, so please bear in mind that you may not have seen everything that was here at the time I posted. Fliss that would depend on what humidity you have been keeping your girlfriend at. A properly humidified women is a site to behold, but the other direction with cracks and spiderwebbing, ewwww!

I'm going to disagree with Fliss here and say I'll be mighty worried when men stop ogling. Biology is biology and this thread is extremely tame compared to what's been said to me on the streets of NYC

For you classical fans
Well I really don't see anything wrong with appreciating a beautiful woman, a beautiful instrument and in this instance some beautiful music.
