Default Who is FretKillr???

Once again I have been lost in the land of Fretkillr? on youtube. Check him out, if you haven't done so already.

Who is this guy? I know it's kind of a mystery, but I like his stuff. Any ideas out there as to his identity, as I truly appreciate his talents!!!

Happy playing to all and to all a good night!

Heavens no, I can only dream . . . However, I can play a bit here and there but nowhere near most of the rest of the world, As my 3rd grade son often says whenever we hear or see a different guitarist, "Dad, he's better than you!" Nothing like a kid to keep you humble!!!

Fretkillr is a great talent and posts some of the finest performances to be found on YouTube. His voice is great, his playing is clean and extremely tasteful and he has a great groove and emotion in everything he plays as he makes it his own during a performance.

I wish I knew who he was.

Regards,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars

I've enjoyed many of his Youtube offerings too. Might be one of those secrets we never discover. He seems to go pretty far to keep his identity hidden! Wonder if he is someone we would instantly recognize and just doesn't want the extra exposure???

Anybody guessing on what guitar he's playing? The Taylor doesn't seem to be super fancy. I'm guessing the one with the rounded pick guard is a Martin OM or OOO maybe? Looks older or at least well worn. The one without pick guard maybe a Mahogany OM? Sure gets a nice tone out of them...

I'm not saying I know for sure who he is, but...

...have you ever seen Fretkillr and Esteban together in the same video?

Guy has talent! Looks like a Taylor Big Baby, goes to show you don't need a big budget acoustic for appreciation or to get your music across.

He is definitely a good player and singer and I wish I knew who he was. I would buy a CD from him in a heartbeat, even if it was just covers of oldies. I look forward to getting the notices that he has made updates to his youtube page.

I love FretKillr... his playing is so clean and articulate but so powerfull and emotional!! maybe he is a session guy in nashville, he is certainly good enough and those guys are some of the best guitarists around.

First I've heard of him and he's very impressive. Based on his guitar style as evidenced by Mr. Tambourine Man, he's clearly one of the Indigo Girls. I'm not sure which one.

Thanks, y'all for reminding me of Fretkillr. I just spent an hour listening to him. A great way to start the day!
Someone posted that they would buy a CD from Fretkillr, even if just covers. His covers are exactly why I would buy a CD from him.
I have no idea who he is, and frankly, I hope we never find out. He deserves his privacy, if privacy is what he wishes. Apparently, he only wants to share his musical talent. I am very pleased that he did decided to share his music with us.

Just to further state my motivation for the thread - While respecting someone's desire for anonymity, I have a approx. 30 minute drive back and forth to where I teach, and I use music to make the trip better.

I'd like to purchase his stuff, but if it's not out there, I'll just keep enjoying Fretkillr at home!!! Thanks for all the input . . .

Don't eat too much Halloween candy!

Happy playing to all!
