Default Had to Return my Gibson HP415W due to defects

Bought it on 1/8/2018 on clearance.
Great price of $1129 down from $1579.

Only blem I noticed was Yellowing from the guitar hanger on the headstock.

I have struggled with tuning issues since I have had it, thought it might need strings so I put on a fresh set of Elixirs.

No improvement.

I called the Retailer and they said bring it in.

That store had some recent humidification problems.

As soon as the tech looked at it he said the guitar should never have been sold.

The body of the guitar in front of the bridge was sagging.

The neck was not terrible, but where an open string sounded good on a chord, if the B string for example was pressed on the 2nd or 3rd fret the intonation was way off.

They offered to get me another one, but I have played a couple of these and there was a wide difference between them in terms of tone and playability so I just took the refund.

Oh well, back to looking for a guitar.

At least looking is fun.

Before all the Gibson haters chime in I would like to point out this recent weather in North America that has been destroying guitars from all makes. That said, I fell sorry for your loss, it sucks to find a "good one" and have this happen. But it could have happened with any guitar, especially with the weather you guys have been having the last month or so.
Good luck on your next hunt. (Always a positive)

Yep. Sorry about your disappointment. But now you know at least one thing to look for. (Any sagging of the top and any intonation issues) And perhaps consider a more scrupulous dealer that doesn't let defective guitars leave the shop.

That particular store had many guitars of all makes destroyed due to the humidification problems.
I have humidipacks and sponge humidifiers in my cases and struggle to see 40%.
I have a whole house humidifier being installed tomorrow after seeing all this.

True on both counts
