Default Epiphone Hummingbird Pro

Anyone's got the new Epi Hummingbird Pro? What are your thoughts on it? How long do the batteries last? I played one, and it was pretty nice. Solid top. Perfect, I mean, PERFECTLY set up. Does not compare to Gibson version, I AB'd it with, but has a more subdued tone whicj I prefered anyway... Thinking of laying down the 3 benjamins for it.

Very nice instrument, especially for the price.

If it's the Nanoflex that's on the other Epi's, I've changed batteries only once in two years on my EJ-200.

Amen to that. It is not even in the same league with the Gibson Hummingbird Pro, even though the Epi is, again, nice for its price.

Go for it!

I played one today and it was okay. BUT, I also played an Alvarez AD90 and I'll tell you, that Alvarez almost came home with me. If I wasn't planning on getting a Martin Dread, it would have came home with me.

An Epi EJ 200 did come home with me. Now I need to update my signature.

Don't know if it matters to you one way or the other, but some of the Epi Hummingbirds have a solid top, others don't.

I'm sort of fond of the look of these. For a gig, maybe outdoors in the sun, that I wouldn't want to take a more expensive guitar, whipping out this Epi 'Bird would be pretty cool. Go for it, and make sure to report back with a NGD and overview thread!
