Default 2015 Memphis Guitar Festival

It will be complete sensory overload! Almost 80 luthiers at most all price points, vendors, musicians, workshops, concerts. Non stop music. If you own a guitar...there is nothing more fun than this! You will be amazed at the different ways guitars are being made now (as opposed to 10-15 years ago). Come and have a GREAT TIME!!!! Only a few days left (5/18) for cheap advanced tickets. www.MemphisGuitarFest.com

Hope you will consider joining many of us in a few short weeks at what will surely be one of America's premiere guitar shows - http://www.memphisguitarfest.com/

So, who is going?

Hope to see many of you there ... soon!
Still hoping to make it down there....suspect it will work out.

Tim can post pictures, but if you are on Facebook feel free to look at the McKnight Guitar site to view the McKnight Memphis Knights guitar. If you haven't friended us maybe now is a good time.

This guitar will be on our display at table 19.

I plan to be the one sporting the McKnight Guitar sunglasses.

I am leaving for Memphis tomorrow or the next day, and will take a leisurely 3 weeks to get there. Then, an only slightly less leisurely 7 days to get back.

It will be great to see most of the usual suspects and meet a few new ones.

For those who do not frequent my habitual haunt in the Custom shop right next door, I will have four guitars with me, three new (BRW/Adi Mini-D, All-Walnut 000, and Pernambuco/German L00) and one older (Maple/German 12 fret slothead 00) guitar.

I have pretty high expectations for this show, and anyone who even thinks they "might" like it should make the effort to attend IMO! This will be the buzz for some time to come, I feel.

I'm looking forward to it! I'll be taking a much less leisurely approach than Bruce though...a mad 3 day drive. Be bringing along several guitars... In past years I've brought "blank canvas" guitars, this year not so much ... might try to hide one or 2 "blank" ones on the table too.

I'll be one table down from the lady with the guitar sunglasses...

There's a reason we "need" to wear sunglasses... If you have ever seen Harv's guitars in person, the bling and artistic factor are truly awe inspiring

Are you taking the bike and shipping guitars? Sounds like a fun trip. Monument Valley and Taos are sort of on the way. This reminds me that you may like to read Neil Peart's series of motorcycle travel books.

I plan on being there.

I should probably leave the check book, credit cards, etc. at home.

Naaaah, that's too logical. Common sense and logic should be left at home when attending a guitar show.
