You can keep your low prices and crime south of th boarder.

Lol. Gross over generalization, but glad you like where you live.

Thankfully I don't have a boarder here south of the border, and als like where I live

To the op, I guessing exchange rate is prolly hurting you quite a bit here.

Just had tookalook Guitar Center has a D28 Dreadnaught Standard series for $2,499.00US

$2,499.00US converted at todays rate = $2,995.55 CND

That is before shipping ~$200.00 + brokerage fees + 15% tax.

Either way it a loose loose situation for us Canadians.

Forgot one detail: The above only works if the guitar is Made in the USA or Mexico then it falls under NAFTA and no duties apply.

Now if it is made in any other country here's the math.

Selling price of the guitar converted to Canadian Currency the day it arrives at the border

X

6% duty

X

15% sales tax (for Ontario calculation)

$2,995.55 x 6% x 15% = $3,651.57 before shipping and brokerage fees.

And

Go Oilers!

Every NHL team is at least 1/2 Canadian anyway, so no worries here. :-)

My GC had the D-28 on sale this past weekend for $2099! If I hadn't just bought a d18, I would have a NGD. After hearing those Canadian prices, I almost feel compelled to go back and buy one.

Yeh, that's a great deal. I did have my heart set on finally making the D28 upgrade this year but 3K is a bit...dear.

As for Canada and the US....we are the best of friends! Love em both.

Oh, he means the "Lightning". The US is number 1 in everything, you just ask any one of us. But I think we're in the low thirties in readin', writin', and 'rithmetic, according to the rest oft the world's standards

About that. You either to need get out more, or have running water and electricity put in your cabin. After all, once you have those funny little wall pluggy thingeys, can TV and the outside world be far behind?

Anaheim is in the Northern Hemisphere. Where we fail at math, apparently you guys fail at geography.

Besides, you should bow before our technological superiority. It's quite an achievement keeping those rinks from becoming swimming pools in 90 degree weather. Not, necessarily eco-smart though. No biggy, I'll bet those darn refrigeration compressors are qualified, "Energy Star", appliances. (Or not).
