Default Larrivee OM-2 Advice

I have come a Larrivee OM-2, an older circa 2000 model, and the neck seems to have a bow in it stemming from the guitar body up the neck. I took it to a guitar tech, who thought it should be just be a truss rod tweak. However in further examination---there doesn't seem to be a truss rod in it, like, not ever there. Larrivee gurus, is that possible? I thought truss rods were in all guitars. Cuz evidently, fixing it is not a cheap fix.
So I'm trying to figure out the possibilities. I appreciate your help.

You need to adjust the truss rod.

Should be a single action truss rod (right to tighten). It's basically inaccessible unless you have the Larrivee truss rod tool though, since you have to dodge around the upper transverse brace.

2000 should use the newer silver L shaped tool, not the older black J shaped tool. Changeover was in 1999.

On the left, the aforementioned J hook at 3/16". On the right, the silver L, at 4mm (5/32 will work too). As mentioned, being a crossover period, there's a chance it could be either one.

Either way, it's very improbable that it has no rod at all. A quick glance with a mirror will tell.

I think I would also try a different guitar tech, since this guy wasn't able to find the truss rod. It isn't that unusual for guitars to have the nut located somewhere in the inside through the neck heel.

Most Larrivees come new with the proper truss rod wrench...if yours was used it was perhaps lost, but they are easily available.

That is what you will need.....besides a new guitar tech taking care of your guitar. All Larrivee's come with truss rods and him not finding it would make me never let him work on my guitar.
