Maybe he's the seller. What's he doing nowadays?

I don't mean to sound crass but, I wonder why Taylor MADE a Kenny Loggins Signature model ? He is a good performer and was very popular, but not exactly noted for his guitar playing.
Am I missing something ?

I think Taylor looks to overall musicianship, popularity/recognizability and their desire to play Taylor guitars in their signature artists. Jewel is a truly gifted singer, who again isn't going to be remembered for her guitar playing. Yet the JKSM is one awesome guitar!

Yeah....good point Kent, and Jewel is a good example.

I guess I need to get away from the idea of Signature models being applied only to "great guitarists"

Thanks

Wow! You really ARE a "dreamer!"

#1 is kinda cool -- but it'll cost ya about a grand more than what the other 99 have been going for lately on eBay.

Beautiful guitar, but... Kenny Loggins? I wish it came with a bottle of white-out! I'll use it to play "Danger Zone" through my Partrige Family signature model Marshall stack, but only after I retrofit it with the new "Boyz 2 Men" Seymour Duncan signature model pickups. Then I'll take a break to renew my membership in the Leo Sayer fan club.

Kenny's a great guitar player. Ever seen him live? He always does songs with just him and his acoustic, often kicking off the show with 3-4 tunes that are just him and his acoustic, and maybe a soloist in the middle or something. Many of his acoustic arrangements are pretty darn tricky. Pick up the Return to Pooh corner CD and try to play along with some of those tunes. He's all over the place, alternate tunings, nylon strings, 12-strings. Yeah, he gets help in the studio from some of the best guys in the biz when it comes time to record, but he writes and arranges this stuff on his own. He's a genuinely good musician and songwriter in my opinion. Yeah, I'm a bit of a Kenny Loggins fan. But he's a talented guy!
