Default Toto, we're not in Taylorville anymore...

Greeting Fellow Forum Members,

Hunkered down in Kuwait and waiting. Not a guitar in sight, Taylor or otherwise. Well, we do get "V" channel and CNN so I do "see" some occasionally. A few of you suggested I bring a Baby Taylor with me. Humidity is in the teens, sand storms every week, temps will top 120 soon. This is no place for a Taylor of any kind. Even so, I feel my fingertips getting softer every day! Talk about Taylor-Withdrawls, I'm thinking of stringing 6 wires on a 2x4 for practice!

But all is not bad; We have Internet access at night. Even if Forum pages take up to five minutes to load, it's worth the wait. And the Air Force has Haagen Dazs bars flown in (guess those guys are good for something!)

Steve314, please e-mail me. I want to order my homecoming present to myself. Need you to work your mojo.
Address is: [email protected]

Cheers,
Killer

Hey, guy! Thanks for protecting your country! I hope conditions are okay for you. Maybe you could get a real quality-of-life boost and ask for Fox News instead of CNN...

On the other hand, this is your BIG life opportunity: You could set up the only area Taylor outlet. Think about it...

Easy on the wing-wipers: They fly the ice cream in and the wounded out. Are you planning on getting another banjo?

Thanks, killer! May God bless you at every move.

We appreciate what you're doing and the sacrifice you're making.

I, for one, will think of you whenever I pick up my guitar.

Hang in there. We appreciate what you guys are doing. The government should issue a Camoflage Rainsong graphite guitar for desert duty. Maybe Bob will come up with a Camo limited in teak or something.

Killer,
Help could be on the way. I too will soon be where you are. With my military unit there should be no less than 6 acoustic guitars floating around, none Taylors (who in there right mind), but guitars nonetheless. Mabey you and I could converse privately and mabey our paths might cross and we could tickle some strings, thats if you dont mind hanging out with a bunch of Army guys.

If not, I wish you the best of luck in your mission over there. God speed on your (and mine) return.

Thank you for your service to our country. We all pray for your safe return.

Do you get extra hardship pay for living in a Taylorless area?

If you are stuck with a bunch of Martin pickers I know you'll qualify for hazardous duty pay.

Hey Bro...Nice to hear from you. It must be hard to be seperated from that beautiful K22. Man it sounded so sweet when I played her, that I had to go out and get one. I finally did about a week ago and she is just like yours. Take care God Bless and we'll get together when you get back and K22 for sure.

You should have grabbed a beater before you left David. Something like Steve's "Willie Nelson Model" Alvarez would have done the trick. Oh Well.

Thanks for doing what you do and don't forget to Check Six.
