Whichever sounds and feels best to you. Everyone will invariably post their own preferences, but they don't have your hands and ears!

Ah - 'tis true. I confess I've been playing on of my Collings some nights and had to loo down to remember which one it is.
Rosewood often looks prettier but it really depends on what guitar you want i a sound, neck shape and finish.

I always considered myself a hog man until I brought a martin 00-28VS and absolutely love it. I have decide I am at my most fulfilled when I have a fine example of both at my disposal. Chopping and changing between the two is just heaven.

So my advice would be if you own mainly hog guitar go with rose and vice versa.

It just depends on what type of music you are playing and the style you lean toward. Personally I prefer 14 fretters. But I love dreads so I think you need both hog and rw.

I have a Martin D15S that is all mahogany. I describe the sound as being soft and mellow.
