Yeppers. A lot of fine guitars could come from all that Braz, or Ebony--whatever. Seems I've read more than once, the major users of Braz were: Casket makers, and furniture. Whaa hoo. I have a Braz double dresser--you should HEAR the overtones each morning when I get out a pair of my Jockey shorts! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm sorry, but as much as I love guitars, I can't begin to imagine chopping up that beautiful piano to make something else out of the wood.

Dude that Steinway is beautiful and I agree, pianos are magical instruments as well and deserve braz decorations

I think the real question is...

Is there a difference in tone between a piano made with brazilian rosewood versus one made with Indian Rosewood?
