I've yet to play a tinny Martin D, OM, 00 or 000.

You could get as many different answers as there are popular models. I like how a good HD28 sounds but there are higher up models I haven't played, so who knows?

Default J-40

Was a lot more open sounding than any other Martin I ever played. It just took my breath away.

Full in terms of balanced sound....000-28V

Full in terms of lush (a notch towards the bass side) HD-28VS

Frankly, almost everything I have ever heard has sounded pretty darn good; I am a little less complimentary of the 00 size as they are just not big enough to project the sounds that I like.

Many of them have a full rich sound, especially with the right strings and the right right hand driving them.

Some of the full rich tones I like come from the D-18A and the HD-35, and from many of the pre-war D-18s and 28s I've heard. Some of the D-28 Marquises also meet those definitions.

Hands down, a 12 fret 18 or 28 series D size.

I have played several over years at the shop I go to and even a few from owners. Many are nice and good but as far as WOW factor. I still have yet to play one that WOWs me like a HD28V.
I am a big Taylor nut too. Even a friend of mine went with me one day and I pulled one off the wall and he said it was the loudest guitar he had heard. Ricj bass but more clarity in the mids and good highs compared to many other Martins( well at least the dreads)

Without further defining "full" and "rich", I am going to say that the 000 12 fret models are my personal favorite in the Martin line, particularly those with rosewood back and sides.
