Jim, you're absolutely right! none of that will be visible after the soundhole is cut and the fingerboard is over it! As a matter of fact as soon as I rout the channel for the double mortise and tenon, that part wouldn't be visible even without the fingerboard!

Not such a bad thing if it is a little bend in the grain. Maybe it will straighten out some of those peculiar notes that come out from my guitars.

The top looks awesome. I like the grain, and that rosette is beautiful as well! Looks like some fine craftsmanship and a terrific guitar.

I apologize for previously derailing the conversation, but thanks for all the responses. I was just wondering out loud if labeling as "worship guitars" was limiting. I think we're all in agreement that, in some respects, it is, but it does accurately define the desired brand image. For any potential buyer, though, I think it looks like they'd get a terrific guitar -- worship or not.

Oh, and Jim, I think he uses velcro. Makes for very easy neck resets!

Oh, nice touch. Then maybe I can change tops in the middle of a set depending on whether I am strumming or fingerpicking.

I am planning on a pick dispenser instead of a heel cap too. Again, it's all about my convenience.

John, my website has become my "nemesis" its my first time using Dreamweaver and its quite complicated and time consuming! I'm designing it myself and updating a bit at the time as I put it together...

Are you in So Cal? If so, you could come and play a guitar with a soundport.

I highly recommend them. If you play plugged in most of the time, I'd probably say don't bother. But if you want to be able to hear your instrument much better when playing without amplification, by all means get one put it - or taken out.

Steve, I told Jim the same thing.... a soundport will make a tremendous difference to the player.... you get to hear more of how the guitar really sounds like when you're playing it!
