Quite a history on Jeff Genzler and BK Butler . I owned Tubeworks amp . I believe Genzler built the cabs . Something happened there ,the two went different directions.

Interesting. I didn't know any of that just the part about his buyout from Fender and one of his main dudes also going over to Mesa Boogie during the interim.

What really blew me away was how many people i read about just preaching what a great guy, company etc Jeff G is known to be. His earlier amps are hard to get on Reverb or Ebay as people don't part with them often. That's when i searched out his new line few yrs back. Best Acoustic Amp I've ever owned by a mile. Even called one day for a technical question...Dude answers the company line. That blew me away!

The amazing thing is not how good the Carvin amps sound, but how good for what they cost. I paid $500 for mine. Nothing between $500-$1000 sounded close at the time. Now there are many more options, but I still prefer the three way speaker of the Carvin. If they had had a dealer network they would probably have been around $800 or so.

What is good about the Carvin AG 300 is it's basically a three way PA speaker. Now there are many line array amps with better dispersion and some are very light weight. Hard to beat, but can they handle a bass like the AG 300?

I still get emails from Carvin. I never open them.

They were indeed, one of the first decent acoustic rigs.
