Clive Carroll will be touring on the west coast with Tommy Emmanuel at the end of the year, that should just be amazing. Pete Huttlinger, Robin Bullock and Bepe Gambatta (sorry if sp) are not to be missed, though their styles are all different. Doyle Dykes, especially in the clinic format, is fantastic.

Jeez.

I can't believe I forgot to include Jim Hurst. He was Claire Lynch's guitarist for several years and is now playing a few dates with them to fill in. He is great musician, patient teacher and just all around nice guy. Look for him, you will have a great evening!

I agree with most of the artists named here, but nobody recommended Woody Mann or Stephen Bennett ??? They are really hidden treasures

If you have a chance to see Richard Smith, you will be stunned. He plays with Tommy Emmanuel frequently and sometimes with his wife Julie Adams, also Hot Club of Nashville. He is the fingerpicking virtuoso (National Champion) who played with Chet Atkins at Her Majesty's Theater in London at age 11. His solo show is nothing short of mind-numbing.

Three other great pickers are Jack Lawrence (Doc's guitarist for many years) and Clay Hess, (Ricky Skaggs, Mountain Heart, Sierra Hull) who is one of the world's most gifted flat pickers. Jake Stargel (Green Cards, Sierra Hull) is also a monster picker. And he's only about 23!

Many great players have already been listed, but I will add Adam Rafferty.
I just saw Toby Walker perform for the first time this year and he was also outstanding. And, as has already been mentioned, Stephen Bennett should not be missed. I have seen him three times and it is always a treat.

Best,
Jayne
