Our daughter went to see Ed Sheeran last night - she said it was a great concert. Then she added, "You have to get a looper, Dad! What he did with that was amazing."

For the record, she isn't a young star struck kid, she's 40.

I saw Della Mae tonight. A great bluegrass band that happens to be all female.

Courtney Hartman is a killer guitar player in the band.

How about Brian Sutton?

Laurence Juber is top shelf. Also Pierre Bensusan, the "Mozart" of DADGAD, is a must see as well.

Juber is really great. And don't count out Derek Trucks.

Langhorne slim and the law. Amazing!

Also a local Canadian artist with a simple stage name of Wil. I have never seen anyone strum a guitar like he does. His guitars are shredded. Amazing artist and he is touring western Canada this fall promoting his new album.

Cheers.

Norman Blake is playing October 11th at the North Georgia Folk Festival in Athens!

If you've never seen him, now is the time.

I got to see Steve Baughman and Robin Bullock in a house concert at DreamGuitars last month-both are amazing. Catch them if you see the chance.

Steve on a $375 guitar

Robin Bullock on his 2002(I think that's the correct year) Taylor 710

and both together

Agreed. Easily a top-five concert I've ever been to, maybe even top-three. So glad my wife and I got tickets.
