Default So just how does one post photos?

To whomever edited my post on the JC-40 rebuild, thank you for your suggest that I let my Facebook link be sufficient. I was getting close to doing the same but my stubbornness was getting in the way. For future reference, how do I post photo's on this site?

You have to use image tags. The format is:

{img} the url of the photo {/img}

Substitute "[ ]" for "{ }" for it to work.

Hmmmm...I tried to use image tags but it still didn't like my effort. Here's another attempt:

What I end up with is the blue box with the question mark as seen above.

You're using the link to the page, and not the link to the image. See how yours doesn't end in an image extension (.jpg) and mine does? (hit the quote button to see the code).

With OS X, you can right click the picture and "copy image address". With windows, right click the picture, click "properties", highlight the address and copy it.

Normally you shouldn't hotlink from somebody else's site (use their address). It's better to save the image to your computer, and upload it to a PhotoBucket/Flikr/etc account and link from there.

Let's see if this works...

Sweet! It worked! Thanks very much! Now if I can only get myself back to work instead of taking my guitars outside for a photo shoot!

Nice. I couldn't see the images in your other thread.

I've a friend with a J-40 that I enjoyed very much on a trip to Woodstock several years ago.
