Blues Bios
Looking for some suggestions on titles for biographies on early Blues musicians? I read "The Life and Legend of Leadbelly" last year and would like to pick some more up for pleasure reads. I appreciate any suggestions you may have.

These should start you off nicely:
The World Don’t Owe Me Nothin’ by Honeyboy Edwards Blind Lemon Jefferson... His Life, His Death and His Legacy Hand Me My Travelin’ Shoes - In Search of Blind Willie McTell Blue Smoke.. The Recorded Journey of Big Bill Broonzy Mississippi John Hurt... His Life, His Times and His Blues Preachin’ The Blues ... The Life and Times of Son House And you just asked for biographies. There are TONS of compilations out there as well. Deep Blues by Robert Palmer and The Story of the Blues by Paul Oliver are just two that come to mind. I also happen to own first editions of those.

Thanks Toby! As Kerbie stated that is a nice little list you provided. I have looked at picking up the one on Big Bill, but wanted to get some first hand reviews before I did so. I should probably get the Blind Lemon one as well as that would be a great continuation from my Leadbelly read. Thanks again for the list.
