Here is my small sticker collection on my Harptone case that housed my no name 00, frozen in time ca. 1994 when I stopped touring with this guitar. My two fave stickers are from 1989 - an American Music Club show at the Top Hat in Newport, Ky and a night at Cicero’s in St. Louis.

While stickers can be a bit performative, for me they are a memory collective.

The sticker action after 1994 was on my briefcase.

I'm in the "I like stickers" camp. Sometimes my favorites need a little exta glue, and when I sell a case I need to remove and sometimes save sickers, and clean up the case, of course. Then I sometimes reuse the stickers on a new case.

So, after some experimentation, here's how I deal with it:

To clean a case after removing stickers I use naptha (lighter fluid) or Goof Off. Goof Off is now made in two formulas, the original is best, and I've never had it damage anything. I don't use it on guitars, though. It may be too strong for that.

To save stickers I put them on wax or parchment paper from the kitchen.

To reglue or reuse stickers I use an Elmer's Glue Stick. Strong enough but not permanent, and it cleans off easily with soap and water, no solvent needed.

Similarly, for identification primarily...keep a bandana tied to the handle, some have a sticker or two.

I don't care for stickers, or piercings, or tattoos, that's my choice, but, why do all hard shell cases have to be black ??? (I'd prefer brown!)

I like my tweed one for my strat, it matches my tweed fender strap. There's a denim one available, too, which is cool. Definitely fewer options for acoustics, unfortunately.

But I thought it would be interesting to see what's on other people's guitar cases.

So post some pictures of y'alls cases.
I don’t have any stickers, but I sure do have a lot of dirt on my Hiscox case. It’s ivory colored, and if you just look at it wrong it collects smudges and dirt. No pics, however . . .

I myself, personally don't care for stickers on my cases. That said, I don't mind if ya'll do it. I do find them interesting to look at and I can see a reason to ID your cases in a mix of similar looking cases. I have several same looking cases for both my 6 string and 12 string guitars, so I used my wife's label gun to print a label with the exact guitar in the case. I have been known to pick up the wrong one and head out the door in a hurry running late to church.

I put some string maker stickers on my gear case (a small Stanley plastic compartment type of thing for tools, saddles, etc). My guitar cases don't get stickers. I just play at home though.

Wow!! It seems I really touched a nerve with some folks. When I originally posted this thread I was simply hoping to see some cool guitar cases. I guess I fall into the "low class and trashy" group

IMHO, this was a good topic for a thread.

Different strokes for different folks.

The reason I long ago eliminated my list of guitars in my signature as others do, is for the same judgemental reasons.

Yeah, there are some curmudgeons here who'll let you know when you like the wrong things.

I'll bet when they were young they railed against the kind of people they eventually became.

True enough, but it’s milder on here than on most forums.
