Default I'm looking for a 00

Hi, I am looking for a beast of a guitar. I would like it to be either 00 or 000

I am looking for a guitar that has a 1-13/16 nut width and at least 2 1/4 at the bridge.

I would love a 00-DB in this shape.

Generally my favorite guitars are OM models, but I am looking to go a little smaller and get a bigger sound

I mainly play fingerstyle, but I also strum a good deal as well.

any ideas?

Thanks

I've played a couple Martin 00. 00-17 and 00-15sm. I loved them both. I ended up getting a really good deal on a Martin OM-1, so I picked it up. I would like to pick up a 00-15 next year though. Thanks

What's your budget? Once you tell us that, the community will be able to provide a better recommendation.

If you have no budget the dneal's recommendation of a Frog isn't going to be beat!

The Martin OM-18V is a sweet guitar with many loyal fans. It's the kind of instrument folks really bond with.

But also check out the Huss and Dalton 00 and 00SP -- truly exceptional instruments.

You would have to custom order for the 1 13/16" nut, but if you could live with 1 3/4"... New, you can find them for a little over $6k. Used, $3500-5500 depending on how patient you are and how hard you look. Still a little pricey, but not spectacularly expensive... A very nice H14 went for $3300 on ebay last month.

I very much doubt that you will find a stock OM model with 1 13/16" N.W.
I did notice today, a lightly used Martin 000-28VS for sale on the Unofficial Martin forum. The price seems very fair. It has the right nut width and I have no doubt it will sound great.

Huss & Dalton build a great 00...I think with the specs that interest you. Looking at roughly $3k new.

Long shot here. Two OMs were favorites including the well respected Martin OM-28V I could take to a bluegrass jam.

I came across a Santa Cruz OMS (14 fret 000, OM short) and it had more of everything the Martin had and played with greater ease. It's killed GAS for about 5 years. Sometimes dealers stock these, and they can be ordered.

I suggest that you take a look at a Thompson T-2.

Here are the specs:

Recently, I bought this one:

Couldn't be happier with it. Enough so that I'm reducing the number of guitars that I own. It sounds much larger than it is.

If your budget permits, I would highly recommend an H&D T model for 14 frets, and the Froggy Bottom C model, 12 fret.

I JUST traded away a Collings 000 in your specs.

Tone for days. Amazing guitar... highly recommended.
