I have an LL16 bought used in beautiful shape. its an '04 model I believe, made in Taiwan. EIR and Engelmann spruce. The same woods and appointments as the current LL16s but I believe they are made in China now. I doubt that matters much. This is my primary guitar, and can't imagine I could ever replace it with a comparable guitar for what I spent.

Default LLoads of LLovely LLuxury LLotus's

I learned how to play on an FG430.
For me - the Yamaha tone was all I wanted..that and the narrow neck shape I got used to.
Grew up on John Martyn, so really nothing else would do.

Now find myself with an LA 28, and a recently purchased L15a.
I also rescued an FG 300, which although in terrible condition - still has the sweetest, mellowest tone of all.

The LA28 is truly superb. Delicate, with complex sound, and insane sustain!
However - the bridge has lifted a couple of times. A bit of a fragile beauty.

I came across a great site with loads of L series brochures. Most in Japanese.

Default Yamaha L Series Club

I'm a very happy LL16 owner. Bought earlier this year in Edinburgh, Scotland. Great sound and very nice to play. I'm not a fan of the gold tuners and will swap them out for Chrome, other than that...I can't see me shopping again until I can afford a D18.

I'm not a professional guitar guy ,but I enjoy playing and singing with my Taylor 420.I've bought a Yamaha GAKKI in 1966 and hardly used it .I want to sell it ,but I don't want to price it too high or too low .I'm looking for help to price it correctly. Any help you can give will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Here's a pic of my new LJ6. Love it! Plays and sounds great.
The 2nd pic is of my 1972 FG180 made in Taiwan red label. Also a great guitar.

Default Yamaha FG Limited Edition-Only 40 imported to the U.S.

Any love here for this guitar? Solid Sitka and Mahogany. Originally sold for approximately $1600. LL16 shape. Only one you tube performance which is a stunner. I know where one new one remains. Should I take the plunge and trade-in my LL16?

I'm looking hard for an LS6. I've read many many glowing reviews but have never seen one.

I've got a LS16, and a LJX16cp II. As well as a Yamaha flamenco and a 1970 FG 75..
I'd love to play an older L6. Is that what Bert Jansch played?

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. My pops was a yamaha dealer back in the 70's. He had a couple of the fg models and a jumbo that I learned how to play on. I tell my friends I'm going to be buried in a Yamaha casket.
