Default Dehumidifiers For Small Room

Anyone use a smaller dehumidifier that works well? The room is 110 square ft. Or, is it better to get a larger one? RH last summer got up to 67 for a few weeks and warmer summers seem to be the new normal in the PNW.

I use the "vornado" that was recommended here for a small room. I like it.

One word of advice based on personal experience, when the box says it's suitable for up to 1250 square feet, its a lie. Subtract 10 and divide by two, at least. You can always dial it down or turn it off, but getting it to work harder is impossible.

That'd be the opposite of a dehumidifier...

A strong second. With either humidifiers or dehumidifiers, always go for one rated for an overwhelmingly larger space than you're trying to treat. I had a couple of small Vornado humidifiers that couldn't even put a dent in low humidity in my 150 square feet (roughly) guitar room. I got one rated for 2300 square feet and it does a great job on that small space. I didn't even try a smaller dehumidifier - I just went with one rated for around 2500 square feet and it does the job. Dehumidifiers are really loud though. I keep them on as needed, but always turn them off when I play.

I've used this Ivation dehumidifier in my 100 sq. ft. trailer for three years on the southern Oregon coast, with the hose connected for constant draining and it has worked great. I'd replace with the same model should this one quit, but unfortunately it is no longer available.

So, based on the great experience with this one, I'd instead replace mine with the updated model:

I use this Aircare whole house humidifier in my music room (bedroom). Works great and holds 6 gallon of water which I refill every 3-4 days with a bucket.

Thanks all. Some great suggestions. I do think I'll go bigger than I had previously thought just to make sure. That Air Care looks pretty nice as does the Ivation. I'll look closer at those. Any other suggestions welcome. I got overwhelmed on Amazon. Ah, I just noticed, the Air Care is a humidifier.

For dehumidifying it is taken care of with the AC in the warmer months. For the winter months we have humidifier on the furnace.

Everything is serviced once a year and works great. I keep a small hygrometer in the spare bedroom where the guitars are.

Default Dehumidifiers

I use a Home brand unit when I need one. What I don't like is it puts off a lot of warm air which will raise the temp up pretty high in my music room.
