Weird Comparison - Godin Multiac vs Emerald Nylon
I am looking into buying a nylon string guitar, and I have been watching a lot of Multiac nylon and Emerald x10 nylon videos recently. They both sound quite nice. I'm interested with the idea of playing a thinline/slim body nylon string since sometimes I play late at night and wouldn't want to wake the neighbors. I know this is a weird comparison because the only common factors between the two is nylon and slim body, and the price isn't really comparable either.
I am also looking into those Yamaha slg200n since it also checks all the boxes, except for the fact that I would also like the guitar to have a slightly more acoustic volume (similar to multiac). Any suggestions? |

I have an ESP LTD TL-6N
https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guit...lectric-guitar It is cheaper. Crossover dimensions. Sounds good, but not like a nice nylon acoustic. Some volume un-amplified but quieter than a regular acoustic. A good first step in this direction. |

That ESP looks very cool - I'm glad you linked that! I really enjoyed seeing and reading about it.
When I decided to try nylon, I inadvertently ended up with a slim bodied one. It was a Cordoba GK Studio, which is their "Flamenco" style. Which is thin indeed. No, I wasn't trying to learn flamenco - simply how to play and enjoy the sound of nylon. It helped that the nut was 50mm. The slimness helped as well, as I sometimes have trouble reaching around my larger bodied guitars Plus, given the size and very low action, it was certainly not a loud guitar. I ended up moving up the food chain, to a Cervantes I. It's a little bigger but not much. I remember trying some of the thin Yamahas at our local GC and Sam Ash stores and they felt very nice in my lap/arms.
