Default Early Morning Rain on my new 12er [and If You Could Read My Mind bonus track]

This is always one of the first songs I try on a new guitar. My version is a little more down beat than Gordon Lightfoot but I try to do it justice. Thanks for listening.

Recorded into a zoom recorder, one track one take. Comp & reverb added (garageband).

Edit : as the thread is attracting Gordon Lightfoot fans (woohoo!) here is a bonus track on my dread when it was shiny and new. Same recording set up. I believe I could do a better job on this vocal but happy with the guitar picking.

Here’s the new 12 String - Guild F512E, rosewood back and sides, spruce top.

Hi Coler,

Well, that sounds wonderful! What a great sounding 12-string on a great song. And your singing works just right!

I have a Guild F-512 in natural finish (spruce over EIR), but I really like your sunburst finish. That looks fantastic!

Good for you and congratulations!

- Glenn

Well, OK! That's the way to do it! You absolutely cannot beat a jumbo Guild 12-string! Super major congrats!

Thanks very much Glenn. I actually wanted a natural finish ideally, but this one came up from the right source so I jumped on it. I like the way big Guild guitars own their bling

Thanks again for listening and glad you enjoyed. I hope all is well with you Glenn, and I was glad to read you came through your recent medical adventures!

Man, that sounded great, Coler! I am a huge Lightfoot fan myself, so you pretty much got me with any of his tunes. And Guild 12-strings are also my favorite. When Lightfoot passed last year, I recorded this song as well in memory of him--Tim.
