Default New Larrivee L03MH waiting at FEDEX office store for me to pick up after work.

Yeah the last thing I NEED is another guitar but I've wanted an L series for a while. I'm going to sell off two or three of my other guitars that I don't play too much. That will get me back down to a reasonable number of guitars-in my mind anyway I think I've read most of the threads on the L's and I know I love Larrivees in general so it should be a good match. I have the weekend off to spend some time on it.

Congrats on the Larrivée, L bodied are my favorite, I have them in several flavors.

I'm sure you're gonna love it.

And L-03 MH is Sitka/Mahogany.

Larrivee has become my favorite brand, and I’ve got another SD arriving next week. Congrats and enjoy! Please post pics!

Was this a custom order? How long did you wait?

I'm waiting for a Larrivée right now.

No it wasn’t a custom order. It’s a standard model. What did you custom order? Just curious.

I’m curious to hear how you like the L body. I have been looking at the L-09s for some time. I missed out on one locally on a Craigslist thing about 18 months ago and since then I have been looking for a good clean one here locally.

Congratulations!

No shortage of "Larrivee Love" on the AGF. Count me (w/ my 000-40 Sitka/Mahogany) among the believers.

I have yet to try an "L" series, but I will at first opportunity. I have no doubt they are deserving of the attention they receive.

Don't forget to give us your hands-on review.

I ordered a 00-40 (Mahogany b&s), vintage Tobacco burst, abalone rosette and full gloss (which technically makes it a 44).

Well I wasn’t going to bring it up but I’m sending it back. This one is just very underwhelming. I don’t think it’s a string issue because it was just made in late January. It just sounds bland and one dimensional for lack of a better description. I have a Larrivee OM simple 6 that just blows it away. I love Larrivees just not this one.

It happens from time-to-time. Best of luck on the next one.

I just had this happen yesterday with a 000-15m...and I played the dang guitar before I bought it! Sounded huge in the guitar store. Got it home, and I was just very underwhelmed. First time for that. Bass had that great Martin snap, mids were mostly there, but the trebles were DOA. Seems the acoustics at the music store (GC) carried those trebles beautifully, but not so much at home. As a fingerpicker, I think it'd be smart to take it back and order the 000-15sm. Seems like a completely different guitar.
