Default Taylor W65 Acoustic only?

I wonder if Taylor would build a Walnut 12 string without the electric part,(minus the barn door) and make it a pure acoustic.

I have a vendor checking for me....but it may take time to get a response.

I'm sure the answer is yes. Since walnut isn't in their normal product line, you'll probably need to go through the BTO (build-to-order) program, but you'll be able to customize the guitar however you'd like.

With the Taylor ES system they have not had a barn door in their guitars for a while now.

But to answer your question, yes Taylor will do an all Walnut 12 string with no electronics as part of their Build To Order program.

Here is my BTO W65 with no cutaway and no electronics. Just give Jim @ Guitar Rodeo a call.

I'm sure they would do it. As mentioned, an all-walnut BTO Jumbo 12 string with no electronics, ivroid binding, abalone top edging, and early 900 series inlays will get you the "W65", though the label inside will read "Custom JM". That's pretty much what I did with my PSJM-12.

Besides my own W65 yours is another one which I love to drool over! It is beautiful!

There was another member, who no longer posts here. Bought his a little before I bought mine. Although his has the Celtic inlays I must say the figure of the Walnut top on his guitar was amazing!

Wow....BEAUTIFUL guitars!!!

I wonder what kind of build time to expect...comments?

I may have to run to the E.R. to get IV fluids pumped into me....got dehydrated from all of the drooling!

(I can now say that I officially have GAS)

They (Taylor) say about 8 weeks or less from order to doorstep, but I would play it safe and mentally prepare for closer to 10-12 weeks. If it comes earlier, well, be pleasantly surprised.

I think somewhere close to the 70-90 day time frame seemed about right in my experience.
