Default Sudden fret buzz

An old ish (cheap knock about) guitar which I have looked after fairly well, has suddenly developed a fret buzz at the 2nd fret on the G string - nowhere else, just there.

Are there any reasons for this and if so, are there any quick fixes I could do?

Thanks. Neil.

Hi Neil…

Capo at the second fret? Actually if you do capo at the second fret (or third) is the buzz still there?

We need more info. If you capo and it still buzzes that is different than if it goes away.

Hi Neil,
Has there been a change in humidity where you live? (If so, that's an easy fix).

Is there perchance a ding in that fret? I notice that my first four or five frets wear from first position chords. Do you play a lot of D chords? (I apparently do, or so my frets tell me).
